KINGDOM MONERA KINGDOM MONERA

According to general biology and living world there are five kingdom classification given by R.H Whittaker

Monera

These are unicellular prokaryotes Bacteria and all its forms are members of this kingdom. Cynobacteria (Blue green algae) Rhizobium Lactobacillus (conversion of milk into curd) Nitrogen fixing bacteria -Rhizobium, Azotbacter and Azospirillum E. Coli– present in digestive system of human Beings Disease caused by pathogenic bacteria named Mycobacterium Typhoid is causing by Salmonella Methanogens – Bacteria which can generate methane.

Archaebacteria

These are those type of bacteria which could survive in that conditions when other living beings cannot like icecaps or glaciers ,high temperature condition- Thermoacidophiles, high salinity- Halophytes. Halophytes– Plants of salty conditions Heliophytes– These are sun adopted plants

Archaebacteria can survive in such harsh condition as their cell is multi layer and made up of hard substances. Mycoplasma and PPLO (Pleuropneumonia-like organisms- photosynthetic form of bacteria.

Methanogens

bacteria can generate methane gas that is contributing towards increased Green House Effect. Methanogens presents in Rumen of cattles like horse, camel, goat and cow etc. Marshy swampy areas like the wetland and mangroove connect the biogas with methanogens. All these activities can adopt methane which is green house gas hence contributing in global warming

NITROGEN FIXING BACTERIA

Plants can not utilize atmospheric nitrogen in its elemental form and has to convert into its compounds which are absorbable example nitrites, nitrates and ammonium which performs by nitrogen fixing bacteria primarily find in the root nodules of leguminous plants (gram, pulses, soyabean, pea etc ). These compound release into the soil from where plants can pick up this.

NITROGEN FIXING BACTERIA AND CYNOBACTERIA

They can act as bio fertilizer that is improving the nutritional quality of soil without creating any negative impact on human health and environment that it can reduce the burden of chemical fertilizer and agriculture. It support the organic farming though Paramparagat Krishi Vikash Yojna
